Safety & Useful Information
Answer to the
First Question
Yes, Paintballs are
bio-degradable but a bit messy, they do wash out of almost
everything.
If you are
RENTING Equipment
We suggest hiking boots or tennis
shoes, NO open toed footwear is allowed. If you have a medical
condition such as Asthma, Epilepsy, allergic to Bee stings, etc. We
recommend that you bring along the necessary kits etc.
If your goggles or marker get
messy from paint, we will clean them for you. It is a good thing to
bring along a towel or cloth to clean up with after the session ( a
change of clothes is good to for the ride home.
Most players shoot
about 400 rounds in 4 hours, with our rental gear we give 100 rounds
of paint to start you off, so you might want to bring along some
extra funds for more paint.
We start the safety meeting
promptly at 10:00am if your late we will slot you in as soon as we
can, Most games are 15 minutes long, there is a 7 minute break
between games (if your not ready you can play the next game), there
is a 12 min. break half way through the session.
Outdoor facilities
are provided for.
We have water and
Pop available for purchase or you can bring your own if you do bring
your own we ask that you please pick up after yourself and place all
trash in the cans that are provided.
If you
have your own gear:
We suggest that you bring along a
cloth or rag to wipe your equipment off and for cleaning your
goggles. We provide your first CO2 fill free.
Our
field is a
FIELD
PAINT ONLY field. If you bring your own paint, you WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED TO PLAY WITH IT. We pay our expenses with paint sales,
insurance - field lease - refferees - improvements PLUS we know the
paint is safe.
What to Expect
Most people that have not played
Paintball before have no idea what to expect. The most common
questions is "does it hurt when you get hit?" If you get hit by a
paintball fired from close range (20 feet or less) it does sting a
bit that is why we have the surrender rule of 20 feet. Most people
tell you that after the first time you've been hit, it no longer is
an issue
Once you're on the field, watch
what the "regulars" are doing, where they are going, and how they
play the game. More often than not, our regular players will be more
than friendly and are willing to help new players. Start out slow
and don't expect too much in the first game or two. Once you are
comfortable (and have been shot a few times) the game will probably
come naturally
Playing Tips
Don't stand in the open for too
long.
Don't stay in one place too long.
It is wise to re-load your
paintballs or just catch your breath from behind a tree or bunker.
You'll be shocked at how many times you can be eliminated from a
long way off.
NEVER EVER TAKE OFF YOUR
GOGGLES AND MASK!
Safety
Never
remove your goggles on the field. Newer players tend to want
to remove their goggles as soon as they're eliminated from the game
or just to clear the goggles. All of our goggles have thermal lens,
some fogging does occur with some players and we will not be able to
prevent it. Pulling the goggles away from the face will not clear of
"fix" the any fogging. If it gets to bad call yourself out and come
up to the tent (your goggles remain on until you clear the net) and
we will do our best to take care of you.
When you are eliminated--or if you
are eliminated(!)--call "HIT" as loud as possible, raise your hand
and PUT YOUR BARREL PLUG or BAG INTO THE END OF YOUR MARKER. Walk
off the field. Do not remove your goggles until you have exited the
black safety net en route to the tent.
Don't argue with the referees. If
a referee calls you out, simply leave the playing field. The refs
are there to help you have fun and to keep it safe. Listen to them
at all times. Referees are human and sometime a mistake is made,
remember it is only a game and another starts in 15 minutes.
Never play with anyone that
is not wearing the proper goggles
Always use a barrel blocking device when you are not playing and
have your markers' safety on.
